Students from Booker Academy in Kakamega, Kenya, are set to represent Africa at the prestigious Technovation World Summit in San Francisco, California. These brilliant young minds have developed an innovative mobile app called Malarax, designed to combat malaria, a disease that continues to afflict millions in Africa.
The students’ project, Malarax, stands out for its practical approach to fighting malaria. The app, now available on the Play Store, provides users with tools and information on how to prevent and treat the disease.

Through this app, the students shared their personal experiences with malaria and offered advice on tackling the menace head-on.
The Maralax app gained recognition in the Safaricom-sponsored competition, Technovation World Summit – Team Mars, Africa. This competition involved schools from Kenya, Africa, and the rest of the world. Booker Academy triumphed, emerging as the top school in Kenya and the African region.
