Chipukeezy: How Watching Pornography Ruined My Love Life

Comedian and MC Vincent Muasya, better known as Chipukeezy, has revealed deep personal stories about his challenging upbringing. During an interview with Dr. Ofweneke, the Kenyan comedian shared moments of hardship that shaped his life and career.

Chipukeezy took fans back to his childhood, painting a vivid picture of a life filled with confusion and struggle. He described how his family’s circumstances often left him feeling lost. While his grandfather was wealthy, his parents were strict and hardworking. This contrast made Chipukeezy question his identity and the world around him. However, he admits that his upbringing is what molded him into the man he is today.

“My childhood was tough, but it made me the man I am,” he shared, reflecting on those difficult early years.

One surprising detail from Chipukeezy’s past was his time as an altar boy. Few would have expected this from the now-famous comedian. As the eldest of four boys, he often had to step into a parental role early in life. “I would wake up early, sweep the compound, and make sure tea was cooking. I was acting as the parent,” he recalled.

Early Childhood

Despite his parents’ hard work, life was still a struggle. His mother sold maize, and his father sold charcoal in Tala. Despite these efforts, Chipukeezy says his relationship with his father was strained, especially during his teenage years. He often clashed with his parents over education.

“I didn’t want to go to high school. I didn’t want to be a pilot or anything like that,” Chipukeezy confessed. By Class 7, he had dropped out of school and asked his mother to help him start a business instead.

“I saw relatives who went to university but were jobless. I knew school wasn’t for me,” he explained, showing a deep understanding of his own path from a young age.

Chipukeezy Exposed to Adult Content

However, Chipukeezy also opened up about a darker part of his childhood. He revealed that he was exposed to adult content at a very young age, which has affected his relationships as an adult. “I lost my virginity in Class Four. I need therapy. That is why I am not married. I still have those memories,” he said, offering a rare glimpse into his emotional struggles.

Adding to his difficult childhood, Chipukeezy shared that his father didn’t allow him to watch TV. But like many children, he found a way. “My grandmother had a TV, but we weren’t allowed to watch it. So, I would save up 5 bob and go watch TV at a local center,” he said.
